A general public encounters a dead owl in the vicinity of the informant's cottage in Hållnäs, Tierps municipality.

After a search on the internet, it appears that the owl belongs to the state's game, which is a number of selected and rare mammal and bird species, which upon finding should be handed over to the police.

The informant has handed over the owl to the police, which will hand the bird over to the SVA or the Swedish Museum of Natural History.
