Summary of the police's work during the Saturday at Nipyran in Sollefteå:

An estimated number of visitors during the evening is approximately 3250-3500. The police's experience is that it was a good atmosphere overall. A slightly higher level of intoxication among visitors has meant a slightly higher workload for all involved: police, security guards, organizers and social services.

About 30 people were turned away from the area. Some of these were minors and were handled with the help of social services.

A small number of people were taken into custody under the Law on the Protection of Young Persons at Risk, of whom some were under 18 and were handed over to social services.

Considering the whole weekend, the police's operations manager is satisfied with how all the actors have acted during the weekend and that everyone has been able to contribute to creating a good and safe feeling among visitors.

– I am convinced that everyone who worked with and around the event felt that they contributed, so that it became the folk festival Nipyran is meant to be, says operations manager Jens Melinder.
