Here follow a selection of events from last night:

00.41 Illegal entry, Umeå:
Police patrol is ordered to a restaurant in central Umeå due to a person refusing to leave the premises. A report of illegal entry is made and the person is removed from the restaurant.

03.04 Aggravated assault or attempted murder, Lycksele:
Two men in their 20s and 25s have been arrested overnight, suspected of having injured two other men with a sharp object. This is said to have occurred outdoors in central Lycksele.

Both victims have been taken to medical care. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The incident is currently being investigated as attempted murder or aggravated assault.

Police have cordoned off a suspected crime scene for technical examination and are working on initial investigative measures such as interviews and forensic testing.

After questioning, the prosecutor will decide whether the men should be detained or not.

04.53 Driving under the influence, Skellefteå:
During a stop and check of a vehicle on E4. Övre Bäck, the driver blows positively in the police's breathalyzer and is taken for blood sampling. A report of driving under the influence is made.

Other:
Police have also conducted several checks of people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of a crime.
