The police regional command center has handled between 22.00-07.00 a number of 40 cases related to Södermanland County.

Only one case stands out:

23.08 SOS is alarmed about a traffic accident on E4 at Vagnhärad in Trosa municipality. A driver has collided with an elk, and the car has been damaged and is standing on the road. The driver has suffered some injuries, including because the windscreen has broken and the roof of the car has been pressed in. Neither the driver nor the passenger was seriously injured. The elk died from the collision.

At 23.30 police are alerted to a suspected assault in an apartment in Katrineholm. On the scene in the apartment is a man in his 50s and a woman in her 45s. The woman has injuries that suggest assault, and the man is therefore suspected of assault. An ambulance has been called to the scene to check the woman, who does not have serious injuries. The man has been detained overnight by the prosecutor.
