26 July 07.39, Summary of the night, Jämtland County

Here follow a selection of the night's events:

02.00 Assault, Östersund:
Police are ordered to central Östersund where a man is reported to have been assaulted by another man. A suspected man is found and taken into custody according to the Law on the Taking into Custody of Intoxicated Persons. A report of assault is filed.

02.19 Assault, Östersund:
Police are ordered to central Östersund where some kind of disturbance has occurred. The patrol takes up a report and a counter-report of assault. There are no reports of anyone needing medical care. One of the involved parties is taken into custody according to the Law on the Taking into Custody of Intoxicated Persons.

02.39 Assault, Åre:
Police are ordered to Kall where a man in his mid-twenties is reported to have attempted to assault another man with some kind of weapon. The man is apprehended and questioned, after which the prosecutor decides to hold the man in custody. A report of attempted serious assault is filed.

Other:
Seven people, in addition to the above, have been taken into custody for intoxication. One of these is suspected of threatening a public official. One person has been taken in for a blood test due to suspicion of a narcotics offense.

Police have also carried out a number of checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of a crime.
