The police regional command center has handled around 70 cases between 22:00-07:00 that concern Östergötland county.

23:09 SOS alarm about a fire in a villa in Åby, Norrköping. According to the alarm, someone flammable liquid had burned at the outer door. The fire was however extinguished before the police and rescue services arrived at the scene. No person was found in the dwelling. The site has been cordoned off for a forensic investigation but the cordon was lifted at 01:30. The incident is being investigated as a murder by fire and there is no one arrested.

In addition, the police have had cases of traffic offenses, wildlife accidents, intoxication, as well as various checks on their own initiative or after alarms from the public that have not led to anything serious.

No more serious violent crimes have come to the police's knowledge.
