The police have a number of patrols on site in Nyfors near Tunavallen in Eskilstuna due to a suspected serious crime. The police are currently working to create a situation report of what has happened. A cordon has been set up. A person has been taken to hospital by ambulance.

17:32 The person who was taken away by ambulance is a man and he is seriously injured. The crime has occurred indoors. The police will not at present go into further detail on how the man sustained his injuries. Fingerprinting is taking place at the crime scene and the police are also investigating whether there are any witnesses to the incident. At the same time, they are also searching for perpetrators in the area. It is not considered to be a threat to the general public.

17:50 An area around the restaurant is cordoned off. The police will begin door-to-door questioning in the surrounding area to secure any witness statements.
