The police have apprehended a man in Östersunds municipality this afternoon who is suspected of assaulting and threatening a woman he has a relationship with.

There are no reports that the woman needed to be taken to medical care.

After interrogation, the prosecutor has made a decision that the man should be detained.

The police are working with initial investigative measures in the case, which is classified as assault and unlawful threats.
