Alarm is received via SOS that a car is on fire on a parking lot on Marklandsgatan. Inquirers see flames and hear explosions from the fire. Rescue service and police are alerted to the scene. The fire manages to spread to a few more cars before it is extinguished. A report of damage by fire has been made.

01:59, assault – Uddevalla
Police and ambulance are alerted to Kungsgatan in Uddevalla after reports of a man being assaulted. The man is said to have been kicked in the face. He is taken away by ambulance to hospital, awake and able to speak, no further information on the extent of the injury. Police can, after information gathering, arrest 5 young men, all initially suspected of aggravated assault. The men, all in their 20s, are later detained by the prosecutor.

02:46, fire – Gothenburg
Alarm is received via SOS of a fire in a basement on Nobelgatan. Rescue service locates the fire in a storage room and extinguishes it. No information on personal injuries or that anyone had to evacuate. Police block off part of the basement pending a technical investigation. The cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated under the initial classification of arson.

03:47, traffic accident – Uddevalla
A car drives off for unknown reasons into a fence on Lingatan. No person is injured, but the car needs to be towed from the scene. A report of reckless driving is made.

04:27, offense against the knife law – Gothenburg
Security guards alert police that a man is said to have run around with two knives at the central station. The man is taken into custody by security guards. Police arrive at the scene and arrest the man, initially suspected of unlawful threats and serious offense against the knife law. Two knives are seized.

That night, crime in a close relationship – Lidköping
Police are alerted to an address in Lidköping after reports of violence in a close relationship. The complainant is a woman who says she was assaulted by a man she has a relationship with. The man is said to have put a ligature around the woman and shaken her head. He is arrested, initially suspected of assault.
