We initially receive an alarm regarding a suspected drunk driving in Borås municipality 10:18. A patrol later sees the reported car in a garage on Hemvägen in Alingsås. In connection with the patrol discovering the car, the driver attempts to drive away from the scene and collides head-on with a police car. He is secured at the scene and arrested suspected of gross drunk driving, narcotics offense own use as well as possession. The man is also suspected of gross negligence in traffic as well as not stopping at a police officer's signal. In the car, the police also find a so-called "banger", i.e. some form of pyrotechnics or larger firecrackers and the man is therefore also suspected of an offense against the law on flammable and explosive goods. No information about personal injuries or ambulance needs.
