09 October 18.05, Assault, Gothenburg

A man is alleged to have assaulted a woman on Bassänggatan in Gothenburg. The woman is said to have been hit on the head with some type of blunt object. Thereafter, they left the scene in a bus, but could be located by police patrols at the Skräppekärr bus stop. The man in his 40s was apprehended on the spot by the police. The woman is said to have been injured in the head. Near the location of the apprehension, a knife was found thrown on the ground which is suspected to belong to the man. The police filed a report on aggravated assault and a knife law offense. The man has been detained by the prosecutor.
