Police were alerted to the area where a man outdoors acted threateningly and loudly while carrying a rifle, which after police intervention turned out to be an air rifle.

A number of patrols made their way to the area where the man had entered a multi-family dwelling. It was then unknown what kind of weapon he had handled. After a while, the man became aware that police were outside the building and came out shortly thereafter without the weapon visible and could then be taken into custody without drama.

A search of the premises was conducted and the rifle was found. It turned out to be a license-exempt air rifle. The man who was severely intoxicated was taken into custody for LOB (the law on the detention of intoxicated persons). The investigation on the scene showed that the man is suspected of having smashed a window to an apartment and entered it and stolen liquor.

The man, who is in his 45s, is suspected of theft through burglary. After sobriety, an interrogation will be held with him where he will be informed of the suspicions.
