The scam is believed to have been initiated at the end of last week. At that time, the woman, who is in her 60s, is said to have been called by an unknown person who claimed to work for a debt collection agency.

By claiming that the woman's bank card information had been used in a scam, the caller managed to trick the woman into handing over the card to a person on Friday. The alleged meeting at the bank was also booked at that time.

Upon arrival at the bank with the help of the staff, the woman discovered that the scammers had managed to purchase goods on the card for approximately 100,000 kronor in various stores. The police meet the woman and draw up a report of suspected fraud. Several investigative measures have been taken during the day/night.
