04:54, Fire – Färgelanda
Alarm about fire in building in Högsäter. It is burning in an old hotel on the site. Police on site to assist fire department. No information about anyone being in the building.
Update 07:56: The incident is being investigated as arson. At present, no suspect. No information yet about any personal injuries. Police have left the site.

02:50, Assault – Uddevalla
Police are called to a residence in Skogslyckan after a report of a man being cut with a sharp object. The man in his 20s is taken to the hospital, awake and able to speak. It is currently unclear what led to the injuries as the complainant initially did not want to cooperate. A report has been filed regarding severe assault with an unknown perpetrator. 

02:06, Single-Car Accident – Vårgårda
Car overturns on regional road 181 in Landa. It is unclear what led to this. Two young men are in the car, who fortunately seem to have escaped with minor injuries. The incident is being investigated as reckless driving and negligence in traffic.

01:48, Assault - Göteborg
Police are called to a restaurant in Vasastaden after a report of some kind of brawl. There was a high level of intoxication and commotion outside the establishment. Police arrive at the scene and hear several people. The whole thing results in a report of assault, with two men in their 20s as complainants and suspects respectively.  

01:47, Theft of a vehicle and assault – Göteborg
A man hits a taxi driver and steals his car. This is said to have happened on Arkivgatan. The suspect is then said to have driven towards Vasastan. Police begin a search for the vehicle and arrive at the scene to hear the taxi driver and witnesses. The complainant is said to be shocked but not seriously injured. The taxi is found about 10 minutes after the alarm is received on Karl Gustavsgatan. It has crashed and the perpetrator is no longer at the scene. Further investigative measures are being taken to locate the suspect, but so far without success. 

00:27, Threats – Mariestad
Police are called to a fast-food restaurant in Haggårdens industrial area after a report of a person being threatened by a man with a knife-like object. The suspect is then said to have left the scene. Police arrive at the scene to hear the complainant, witnesses, and file a report regarding severe threats.

Police have also filed several reports regarding violence in close relationships during the night. At present, no information is available about anyone being arrested or anyone needing emergency care in connection with these incidents.
