At midnight two police officers apprehended a drunk man in his 30s in central Borlänge. They apprehended him in accordance with the law on apprehension of intoxicated persons (LOB).

From the time the apprehension began and until the man was taken into a drunk tank, the man threatened the two police officers verbally. The threats were very serious but will not be described in more detail here.

After the interrogation, the prosecutor decided to detain the man who is now suspected of grossly threatening a public official.

During a patrol in central Borlänge, a police patrol unit discovered and broke up a fight between two men at 02:30. Both men reported each other, which means they are both victims and suspects for assault of a normal degree. Neither of them was detained but was allowed to leave the scene after interrogation. Neither of them was seriously injured in connection with the fight. The men are in their 25s and 35s.
