Under the morning, a patrol was supposed to stop and check a car on E16 near Lekvattnet. The driver of the car chose not to stop at the police officer's signal and it became a shorter pursuit into Norway where it stopped.

In cooperation with the Norwegian police, two men in their 35-year-old age group were detained as suspects for serious theft since there was goods in the car that the police suspect is stolen.

The police will hold interrogations with them and thereafter a prosecutor will make a decision on whether they should be continued detained.

The two men are not residents of the North.
