The regional police headquarters has handled around 80 cases related to Östergötland County between 22.00-07.00.
At 23.00, the police are alerted about a suspected break-in attempt in Old Town in Norrköping, as a man behaves suspiciously in a stairwell by standing by a door. The police arrive at the scene and check the man, who is in his 40s. The man is intoxicated and is taken into custody according to LOB. He is not suspected of any crime.
At 23.45, a patrol sees that a car has broken windows in the area of Såpkullen in Norrköping. The patrol contacts the owner, and a report of theft through break-in in a vehicle is filed. At present, it is unclear what was taken.
At 03.20, the police are alerted about a suspected assault outdoors. According to initial reports, a woman in her 30s is alleged to have been subjected to assault outdoors in central Norrköping. The woman did not need ambulance care but was taken to hospital for examination. The incident is classified as aggravated assault. There is no suspect or arrested person at present.
At 03.30, a person car is stopped and checked in central Motala. The driver, a man in his 50s, is suspected of gross unlawful driving and driving under the influence of narcotics.
