Sms:en starts with "Hej mamma!" followed by a plea for help and an appeal to contact on a number unknown to the complainant. The police have filed a dozen reports of attempted scams using this modus, but the actual number of scams/attempts may be greater.

The scammers' purpose can for example be to get you to transfer money, obtain sensitive bank information or take out a loan in your name.
