Here comes a selection of events from the police district last night.
Police regional command center has handled around 30 cases related to Södermanland County between 22:00 and 07:00.
02:51 Police were called to E20 outside Folkesta, Eskilstuna, due to a car accident involving a driver who ran into the median strip. The driver, a man in his 20s, complained of back pain. Police were on the scene, and a report of a traffic accident with no suspicion of a crime will be written. The car was towed away, and no one needed to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.
05:14 Police were called to a business premises on Östra Storgatan in Gnesta due to an activated burglary alarm. Via camera, three masked individuals were seen. When police arrived at the scene, no suspect was found. It is unclear to the police press service what stolen goods may have been involved, but a report of theft through burglary will be written. The crime scene has also been cordoned off for a forensic investigation. No one has been arrested in connection with the case.
In addition to this, the police have had cases of traffic offenses, a wild boar accident, and various checks on their own initiative or following public alarm calls that have not led to anything serious.
No more serious violent crimes have come to the police's knowledge.
