Scammers tricked an elderly person in one of the northern municipalities in the county to hand over gold jewelry.
The amounts sent an SMS where it stood that a company would do a work in the claimant's residence during the day. When the claimant called the number specified in the SMS, a voice said that it was about a scam and that a police officer would pick up the claimant's gold to store it in a preventive purpose.
A short time later, a woman came to the claimant's home and picked up the gold.
The police want to emphasize that we never go out to someone's home to pick up either jewelry, bank cards or other valuable items. Hang up the phone at the slightest suspicion that you are talking to a scammer. Dare to be unpleasant!
