Man arrested after assault
Around 02:00, police are alerted to a residence in the municipality of Flens after a man is said to have assaulted a woman he is in a relationship with. He is said to have taken a chokehold and delivered fist blows. Police arrive at the scene and arrest the 45-year-old man suspected of assault of a normal degree. The affected woman has not suffered serious physical harm but has been taken to the hospital for a check-up. 

Car drove into a lamppost
At 05:07, police receive information that a driver drove into a lamppost in the center of Oxelösunds. Those who traveled in the car are said to have then, according to reports, run from the scene. The police have been in contact with the vehicle owner, but it is unclear who was driving the car. A report is filed regarding evasion from a traffic accident site. The car will be towed away from there. 

Aside from this, the police have handled cases related to intoxication, as well as routine checks on their own initiative or after a report from the public.
