In connection with last night's football match in Örebro, a disturbance of order occurred.
A number of supporters took themselves onto the pitch. In connection with this, fireworks/pyrotechnics were also thrown, which can mean a risk for both players and officials as well as spectators in the stands.
The police were on site with a planned operation and were able to quickly act to restore order and secure the area. The situation was brought under control without any serious personal injuries being reported.
People have been taken into custody and removed from the arena or the area around Sörby during the evening. In one case, the parents were contacted and had to take their youth home.
Among other things, two men in their 18th and 20th years were checked at 18:25. The men were suspected of violating the order law as well as the law on flammable and explosive goods. They were also said to have worn masks at the time. The patrols took pyrotechnics into custody. The men were turned away from the location. A report will be drawn up.
The police take seriously incidents where people take themselves onto the pitch and use pyrotechnics. Such actions create insecurity and can lead to serious injuries. At the same time, we want to emphasize that the majority of visitors behaved calmly and followed the instructions.
