In the intersection of Badhusgatan and Västra Ringgatan in central Västerås, a night watchman notices a driver going in the wrong direction in a roundabout.

A police patrol is ordered out and shortly afterwards the involved vehicle is found and stopped.

The driver, a young man in his 20s, blows positively in the police's control instrument. The man also appears to lack a driver's license and he is suspected of unauthorized driving and drunk driving.

There were additional people in the vehicle, two of whom were young men taken into custody according to the LOB, the law on the apprehension of intoxicated persons.
