Fery has charmed the tennis crowd in London in recent weeks, making it all the way to the semifinals as the lowest-ranked male player to reach that stage since 2001.
But against world No. 3 Alexander Zverev, his run came to a halt. The Briton was at times without a chance and ultimately lost in straight sets.
After the match, he was praised by the German.
He has played incredibly well, but it is an indescribable feeling to be in the final.
A month ago, Zverev won his first Grand Slam title, at the French Open. However, this is the first time he has reached the Wimbledon final. There, he will face a much tougher opponent on paper, either Serbian Novak Djokovic or Italian Jannik Sinner.
"This Grand Slam title has always been the hardest for me. Now I'm in the final and I'm very happy about it. One match left," says Alexander Zverev.
