Bayern Munich's Julia Zigiotti Olme takes a place in the starting lineup in tonight's Nations League match against Italy. The women's national team coach Peter Gerhardsson gives the 27-year-old a chance ahead of Juventus' Hanna Bennison.

Who would take the central midfield position alongside Kosovare Asllani and Filippa Angeldahl was perhaps the biggest question mark ahead of the match against Italy.

Peter Gerhardsson's choice fell on Julia Zigiotti Olme, who has gained increasing confidence in the big club Bayern München since the beginning of 2025. This means that a player like Juventus' Hanna Bennison will start on the bench.

Amanda Ilestedt is also sitting there, the Arsenal defender who earlier this year made a comeback after becoming a mother. Ilestedt has not played any national team match in over two years.

Sweden's eleven (4-3-3): Jennifer Falk – Hanna Lundkvist, Nathalie Björn, Magdalena Eriksson, Jonna Andersson – Filippa Angeldahl, Kosovare Asllani, Julia Zigiotti Olme – Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Stina Blackstenius, Fridolina Rolfö.

Substitutes: Emma Holmgren (gk), Tove Enblom (gk), Hanna Wijk, Amanda Nildén, Madelen Janogy, Ellen Wangerheim, Sofia Jakobsson, Amanda Ilestedt, Matilda Vinberg, Hanna Bennison, Emma Kullberg, Rebecka Blomqvist.

Outside the match squad: Anna Sandberg, Linda Sembrant, Cornelia Kapocs.

Italy's eleven (3-5-2): Laura Giuliani – Lucia Di Guglielmo, Martina Lenzini, Elena Linari – Agnese Bonfantini, Manuela Giugliano, Arianna Caruso, Emma Severini, Lisa Boattin – Michela Cambiaghi, Chiara Beccari.

The match starts at 7:00 pm.
