Eighth time seems to be the charm for the New York Rangers. For the first time this NHL season, the team has won at home. Mika Zibanejad scored the team's opening goal in a 6-3 victory over Nashville.

It took just over ten minutes for the Swedish star center to score the first goal of the game. Played by Adam Fox, the 32-year-old received the puck at the blue line and had plenty of time to trick Juuse Saros in the Nashville goal.

The goal ended a 141-minute goal drought on home ice for the Rangers, who had never managed to do so at home in Madison Square Garden. When the game was over, the team was able to enjoy their first home win of the season. The six goals on the night were as many as they had managed in their opening seven home games combined.

Nashville has certainly won at home, but when the team now goes to Stockholm to face Pittsburgh, it is with a losing streak of five straight games under its belt.
