Lundström was awarded the prize, among other things, "for his, in many ways, Bode-like approach to money, responsibility and the good things in life" and "unbroken optimism even after both excruciating family conflicts and a heavy prison sentence."
In December last year, the influencer was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison for several counts of serious financial crime.
At the same time, Lundström has an ongoing feud with his brother and YouTube star Joakim Lundell, which was portrayed in SVT's "Document from the Inside", among other things.
The prize consists of a diploma and a sum of money that the society has already “paid out” at the time of the award - without the participation of the prize winner. This year’s sum amounts to 90,390 kronor and 40 öre. In addition, Lundström receives a pair of white gloves with the Johnny Bode Society logo.
Previous years' laureates include Bella Nilsson, also known as the "Queen of trash", Margaux Dietz, Kristoffer "Kringlan" Svensson, Mona Sahlin and the Swedish Academy.
