The agreement makes X the second social media platform to have reached a settlement with Trump in the aftermath of the deadly riots at the Capitol Building in 2021.
The settlement amount corresponds to approximately 108 million kronor.
Donald Trump sued platform X, then Twitter, after his account was shut down in 2021. This was due to posts he wrote in connection with the storming of the Capitol on January 6 of the same year. Twitter shut down the account citing the risk of inciting violence.
The current X owner Elon Musk allowed Trump back on the platform in November 2022. Tech billionaire Musk has taken on a significant role in Trump's administration, where he primarily works on government efficiency and cost-cutting.
X has not commented on the settlement.
In January, tech giant Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, made a similar settlement regarding Trump's suspended social media accounts. Meta is, however, to pay twice as much as X.
Trump's lawyers are also expected to try to reach a settlement with Google, which banned Trump from YouTube in connection with the deadly attack on the Capitol.
