There was a certain favoritism for Sweden, which is leading the relay cup in the World Cup.

But in the tough competition in Lenzerheide, there was only one nation in the discussion about the gold.

France was completely superior from start to finish and won by a whole minute and four seconds ahead of second-place Norway.

For Sweden's part, it became a World Championship bronze - the third blue-yellow medal during the championship. But it could have been something of a fiasco.

After Anna Magnusson's and Ella Halvarsson's legs, Sweden was ninth, 1.42 behind.

Afterwards, Halvarsson testified to the tough competition. However, without talking about bad skis.

It's very loose, you have to climb a lot. It gets damn tough. I fought with what I have, but it's numb in my legs, says Halvarsson to SVT.

Hanna Öberg's giant climb

Lucky that Hanna Öberg showed that she still has some power left.

Full shooting and good skiing made her, when superstar Elvira Öberg changed, do it as third and very much in the fight for silver.

But after a penalty round in the prone shooting, Sweden instead had to fight for bronze. Well, there Elvira Öberg would take revenge. With only one extra shot in the last shooting, Sweden could make a small push that was enough for the World Championship bronze, 1.44 behind France.

Something that Hanna Öberg, who has had a tough season, was more than satisfied with.

In tears: "I have fought"

After the medal was secured, she was seen in tears, hugged by Ella Halvarsson.

I just feel, finally. For me, it's super many emotions. I'm extremely happy and of course also relieved. It means so much to me that I get to do that leg and that we take a medal. I know they don't come for free, says Hanna Öberg in SVT and continues:

I have fought a bit, and today I really wanted to do the job in a good way. I wanted to go in and be determined on the range and really do what I usually do in training. I haven't quite managed that before. It was so nice that it worked.

The men's relay is run later in the afternoon, with a start at 15.05.
