Sebastian Samuelsson, who came second in the pursuit at the premiere in Östersund, missed two shots in the first round. He then finished with two more misses in the second standing round and finished twelfth.
Of course I'm not happy. I got off to a bad start with second in prone. And the last standing series, the fourth shot felt like a hit and I was caught on the bed. It was bad, Samuelsson tells SVT.
Martin Ponsiluoma finished ninth after missing one shot in three series and is happy with that.
"It's something different on the shooting range compared to last year, so I'm still positive. I would have needed a few more matches to have a really good competition," he says.
Frenchman Eric Perrot won, ten seconds ahead of Italian Tommaso Giacomel, who went first in the pursuit after winning the sprint. Norwegian Johan-Olav Botn came third, another 19 seconds behind. Perrot shot hard, the other two each missed. There was also just one miss for fourth-place Philipp Horn, Germany, and fifth-place Johannes Dale-Skjevdal, Norway.
They are doing incredibly well, the level is incredibly high, I have never experienced that before. You have to do it perfectly if you are going to be up there, it is inspiring.
Botn retains the lead in the World Cup, but second-place Samuelsson slips to fourth place after Saturday's race.
