After five minutes of trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the broad S&P 500 index have both risen 0.7 percent while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index has climbed 1.1 percent.
This means that the indices continue in the same direction as at Tuesday's close. At that time, the Dow Jones had risen 2.5 percent, the S&P 500 was up 2.9 percent and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 3.8 percent.
