The Department of Homeland Security states that conditions in Haiti have improved and that Haitians no longer meet the requirements for the temporary protected status.
The decision applies to people who are already in the US and who in some cases have lived in the country for years. It is part of the Trump administration's work to tighten up immigration and deport migrants.
The message comes after the US Supreme Court recently rejected a lower court's attempt to prevent the government from withdrawing the protected status.
The protection in question gives people the right to stay and work in the country if their home countries are considered unsafe. Immigrants from 17 countries enjoyed this type of protection when Trump took office as president in January.
Hundreds of thousands of people from Venezuela and Afghanistan have already had their protected status revoked.
