The President of the USA, Donald Trump, is reported to have given his approval for Ukrainian long-distance attacks with American weapons.
If one looks at what Trump has said and what Vice President Vance has said, as well as (Foreign Minister Marco) Rubio, the answer is yes, says envoy Keith Kellogg in an interview with Fox News on Sunday.
Use the opportunity to strike deep. Nothing is sacred.
”Maybe more than that”
Kellogg's statement comes after Trump last week claimed that Ukraine can regain its entire territory – and ”maybe more than that”.
In a separate Fox News interview, Vice President JD Vance states that talks are ongoing about whether the USA will provide Ukraine with Tomahawk-type cruise missiles. Trump has previously said no to delivering the American missiles, which can reach targets at a distance of around 160 miles, to Kyiv.
This is something that the President will make the final decision on, says Vance, and adds that the USA is "considering a number of requests from the Europeans".
”There is no magic weapon”
The Kremlin is closely following the statements about potential Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, says the Kremlin's spokesman Dmitrij Peskov on Monday. At the same time, he dismisses the threat, reports AFP.
There is no magic weapon. Regardless of whether it's Tomahawks or other missiles, they will not change the dynamics.
