The principal works at a primary school in Uppland and was informed that a teacher was suspected of subjecting students to abuse and sexual harassment.
The teacher was suspended and then resigned. But the principal did not report any concerns to the social welfare committee.
"It's not that the principal forgot to report it, but when the teacher was suspended, the principal no longer thought it was necessary. That's not something the principal should decide," prosecutor Elin Blank told the newspaper.
The teacher, who now works at another school, was never charged.
