This afternoon's meeting is expected to include news that an international force is now ready to monitor a possible ceasefire in Ukraine - although such a situation still seems to be a long way off.
More urgent is the need to increase air defence deliveries to Ukraine. According to the news site Politico Europe, Germany, for example, is expected to pressure countries such as Spain and Greece to contribute Patriot missiles.
"Everyone in the world sees it: that Ukraine needs more air defence, more protection for people's lives, and that the Russian authorities have gone crazy," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy writes on X ahead of the meeting.
Among the participants in Paris is Sweden, represented by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M).
