They must stop sponsoring terror, stop their bloody proxy wars, and permanently and verifiably cease their pursuit of nuclear weapons, says the president at a press conference in Saudi Arabia and emphasizes:
They must not have nuclear weapons.
The US and Iran have resumed talks on nuclear energy over the past month. On Sunday, after a fourth round of talks in mediator country Oman, Tehran called the talks "difficult but useful". Washington described them as "encouraging".
On Wednesday, Oman's Vice Premier, Asad bin Tariq al-Said, expressed confidence regarding a forthcoming US-Iranian agreement, reports The New York Times.
In parallel, Iran announces that they will likely hold nuclear energy talks with European countries on Friday, writes news agency AFP. The meeting with the deputy foreign ministers of Britain, France, and Germany will take place in Istanbul, according to Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Araghchi simultaneously hits back at Trump's latest outburst about Iran, when he called the country "the most destructive force" in the Middle East.
Unfortunately, it is an incorrect image. It is the US that has hindered Iran's development by sanctions.
