When Graham Potter named his first national team squad for the men's football team on Wednesday, young Tottenham star Lucas Bergvall was in the squad.
But against United, the midfielder was not in the squad, having been injured against Chelsea last weekend.
"For everyone who watched the game, it was obvious that he had suffered a concussion," coach Thomas Frank said this week.
In Bergvall's absence, Tottenham had to chase to get a result against Manchester United.
Two goals in stoppage time
Bryan Mbuemo's header in the 32nd minute was the first goal of the match. Tottenham had many chances to equalise, and in the 60th minute the ball was in the net, but then Brennan Johnson was offside.
Only in the 84th minute of the match did the home team manage to equalize through substitute Mathys Tel. In added time, Richarlison then managed to head in a long shot from Wilson Odobert. A goal that looked to be the winning goal.
But on a corner kick in the last minute of the match, United defender Matthijs de Ligt scored and the match ended 2–2.
First in eight games
Before Arsenal's match on Saturday, the league leader had kept a clean sheet in eight consecutive matches in all competitions - which has not happened in 122 years.
But when the London team – without their Swedish attacking star Viktor Gyökeres – played against newcomer Sunderland, the streak was broken.
In the 35th minute of the match, defender Daniel Ballard struggled to get through and kicked the 1–0 goal. The equalizer came at the start of the second half when Bukayo Saka scored 1–1, before Leandro Trossard fired a solid long-range shot to make it 2–1.
However, it would be a point apiece in northern England. In added time, the home team's Brian Brobbey equalized with the last goal of the match.
The result means that Arsenal have seven points more than second-placed Manchester City, who have played one game less.
In London, Swedish national team defender Hjalmar Ekdal sat on the bench the entire match when his Burnley lost to West Ham 2-3.
