Montreal started tonight's NHL game against Washington in high spirits. After two periods, the away team Montreal had both a 2–0 lead and an advantage in shots.
Then Washington woke up - and so did Rasmus Sandin.
At the beginning of the third period, the Swedish defender played the puck through to Frank Ethen, who made it 2–1. Exactly 13 minutes later, Sandin repeated the feat when Ethen tied the game.
In overtime, Sandin was there once again, delivering a puck that went into the goal off Connor McMichael.
