Jonna Sundling didn't skimp on the powder when she set off first among the Swedish skiers in this morning's qualifying.
The Swede almost caught up with Norwegian Astrid Øyre Slind, who started 15 seconds ahead. When Maja Dahlqvist later qualified, only a major mishap could have prevented Sweden from taking one of the 15 final spots.
Dahlqvist was slower than Sundling, but when the times were added up, Sweden was 14.92 seconds faster than Finland, which was the second-best team.
A real demonstration of strength ahead of the final, which will be decided in freestyle at 11:45 today.
The blue-and-yellow men's team, with Johan Häggström and Edvin Anger, will also advance to the final. But not as one of the favorites.
The duo made it to the final as the twelfth team, after Anger was the fastest of the Swedes. That final will be decided at 12:15.
