The rise among heavyweights is broad, almost all are up. The clear winner in Stockholm this morning is the defense conglomerate Saab, up 4.4 percent.
Outside the large-cap list, Sectra is up 10 percent after the medical technology and cybersecurity company released its quarterly report. Another winner is Lundin Gold, up 5 percent since the gold price reached a new record level.
There have been large fluctuations on the world's stock exchanges during the past week, in line with all the tariff games from US President Donald Trump. There were significant setbacks on Wall Street on Thursday evening and the Stockholm Stock Exchange also closed on a minus.
However, ahead of the opening on Wall Street this afternoon, futures trading points to rising indexes.
The krona is strengthening again, to 10.13 against the dollar, while one euro costs 11.04.
