The rise for the most traded stocks on the OMXS30 list was broad, with almost all on the plus side. The winner was the real estate company SBB, up 8.1 percent. The defense group Saab and the heat pump manufacturer Nibe rose 6.7 and 4.1 percent, respectively.

The only large-cap losers were the lock giant Assa Abloy, down 1.5 percent, and the hygiene company Essity, which fell 0.1 percent.

Outside OMXS30, Sectra rose 11 percent after the medical technology and cybersecurity company released its quarterly report. Another winner was Lundin Gold, which climbed 3.1 percent after the gold price reached a new record level.

There have been large fluctuations on the world's stock exchanges during the past week, in line with all the tariff games from US President Donald Trump. There were significant setbacks on Wall Street on Thursday evening, and the Stockholm Stock Exchange also closed on the minus side.

But even on the leading European stock exchanges, the mood was good ahead of the weekend, with clear rises in Frankfurt, London, and Paris.

Also on the other side of the Atlantic, it had turned upwards at closing time in Stockholm, with rises on all three leading indices on Wall Street in New York.

The krona is strengthening again, and one dollar now costs 10.14 kronor. One euro costs 11.03 kronor.

Despite Friday's rise, the development during the week has largely been negative in Stockholm, and the stock exchange has fallen 1.4 percent.
