The director Yana Ross's production of Tjechov's classic takes place among cows and hens and is about unhappily loving people who long for something more in life (premiere 24/10).
The autumn repertoire also includes a premiere of Lars Norén's "Communion" where a group of people find themselves in a closed room. Eva Dahlman directs the play, which is one of three unplayed dramas that the playwright left after his death (premiere 26/9).
The autumn begins, however, with "A Very Special Day" (15/8) which is based on Ettore Scola's film about the meeting between a housewife and her neighbor in Mussolini's fascist Italy. On the other hand, Tennessee Williams' "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" (19/9) deals with a family in crisis, directed by Sunil Munshi.
More romantic comedy is coming on 5/12 when Rana Wei takes on Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice".
