The police are investigating several crimes since a combat boat 90 ran aground in the Gothenburg archipelago on Tuesday evening. One person was reported to be seriously injured - but the person's injuries are now considered mild.

The incident is being investigated by the police as causing bodily harm, negligence in maritime traffic, and a workplace accident.

Four people were taken to hospital in connection with the accident, which occurred at 20.15 on Tuesday. At least one person has been able to leave hospital care the day after.

Initially, one of the persons – a man in his 20s – was reported to be seriously injured. According to Sahlgrenska University Hospital's press service, the man's injuries are considered mild on Wednesday.

Another person is being treated at a hospital in Kungälv. This person's injuries are also considered mild.

We received two people. One is still under observation, says Magnus Nordberg, press communicator at Hospitals in the West, to TT.

The boat belongs to Älvsborg's Amphibious Regiment. According to the regiment's communications chief Johanna Frejme, the accident occurred when the boat ran into a reef during a boat driver training session.

During the training session, there were both employed, experienced boat drivers and conscripts training to become boat drivers. But I cannot say who was driving the boat at the time, says Frejme to TT.

The boat has remained at the site overnight. On Wednesday, the police will conduct technical investigations.

What may have caused the accident is currently unclear.
