The investigation into the fatal bus accident in Stockholm continues. The police are using footage from the scene, among other things.
We also take in things that abound on social media, says police spokesperson Ola Österling.
The police are getting an increasingly better picture of what happened when a bus crashed into a bus shelter in central Stockholm on Friday, killing three people.
The investigation is progressing and technical examinations of the bus are continuing. We have also conducted some tests and taken some technical performance data that will be analyzed, says Ola Österling.
Identification not complete
However, the identification of the three victims is not yet complete.
We will try to have the identities of the deceased established and the relatives of the deceased informed, says Österling.
According to police, the work could be completed on Monday at the earliest.
On Saturday, two people were still being treated in hospital. None of them are considered to have serious injuries, but they are being treated in a ward, according to Region Stockholm.
Denies crime
The driver of the bus has been released by the prosecutor, but is still suspected of three counts of causing death and three counts of causing bodily harm.
"My client denies the crime. I cannot comment further," says the driver's lawyer Anna Björklund to SVT News Stockholm.
The investigation is also aided by the fact that there were many cameras in the area.
We have collected material both from our own, but there are also vehicle-borne cameras that we have collected films from. But we also take in things that abound on social media, says Ola Österling.
