The voice cracks when she describes the emotional journey that the World Championship relay on home ground entailed. Above all, it's tears of joy, or at least relief.
There have been so many emotions today, says Folsnæs.
Norway bet everything on deciding the outcome on the three initial legs, but it didn't hold despite strong efforts from Heidi Weng, Astrid Øyre Slind, and Therese Johaug.
The most untested card, 24-year-old Kristin Austgulen Fosnæs, had no chance in the end despite a 40-second lead. Jonna Sundling drove Sweden to gold, her third under the championship in Trondheim.
We knew it could be like this since I was the weakest link. The other three do a fantastic job and send me out with the world's best position. I do as well as I can, but in the end, Jonna is too good, says Fosnæs.
But she has nothing to apologize for, say the Norwegian teammates who threw themselves over Fosnæs after the World Championship silver was secured.
I think this gives her a lot of confidence for the future. She'll be a great name to run Norway's final legs going forward, says Therese Johaug.
