In the Damallsvenskan's preseason meeting, BK Häcken was voted as the clear gold favorite by the league's coaches with 82 percent, while the rest voted for Hammarby.
No vote fell on the reigning Swedish champions in FC Rosengård.
The Malmö club, which has lost nine starting players and 80 of 99 goals scored from last year's gold season, ahead of this year's season.
Joel Kjetselberg sees it as fully natural.
The downside of success. If we hadn't scored 99 goals, we wouldn't have won 25 of 26 matches and won the Damallsvenskan as usual, we might have only lost four players. But when we did so well, the players become extremely attractive.
"Not optimal"
The 36-year-old head coach feels pride and joy that many of the players could take the step forward to some of the top clubs in Europe.
Since it's not optimal for winning the league again. But I'm extremely pleased with the players we've got in. We've got the ones we wanted.
In the Swedish Cup's group stage, they have won against Linköping and played a draw against city rivals Malmö FF. Matches where Kjetselberg likes what he has seen – but he also says they will get better over time.
"Very pleased"
And if we can be at our best after the summer, when it's Champions League qualifying, then I'm very pleased. Because somewhere that's what we strive for, to get into the group stage in Europe and top three in Damallsvenskan.
Therefore, it didn't matter much that no coach cast a gold vote for Rosengård.
I think it's fully understandable, considering we've lost nine players while Häcken and Hammarby have kept large parts of their squads.
