The artwork, called "King's Elk", was created by sculptor Jerker Andersson and now stands at Skokloster Wärdshus in Håbo municipality. The elk is dedicated to the king, who had the honor of unveiling the creation.
In his speech during the local National Day celebration, the King mentioned, among other things, the municipality's rich bird life and the fact that he and Queen Silvia, with the visit, have now spent National Day in all counties.
"This visit marks a milestone for the Queen and me. We have now celebrated National Day in all 21 counties of Sweden - and saved Uppsala County for last," he said.
