The year's storyteller is Göteborgs-Posten's culture editor Johan Hilton, who is awarded the prize for his book "The Last Theater Director", which is about Benny Fredriksson, former head of Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm.
SVT's "Uppdrag granskning" with, among others, reporter Diamant Salihu wins the category of the year's innovator for the program "The Swindlers", which shows how gangs deceive pensioners out of money through phone scams.
Lukas Bonnier's Grand Journalism Prize is awarded to Robert Aschberg for being a "pioneer in television, for his courage and perseverance as an investigator, and for standing at the forefront of the struggle against the dark forces that try to tear down the open society."
Established in 1966 by Bonnier AB and awarded annually to promote good professional achievements in journalism.
The prize is awarded in the categories of the year's revelation, the year's storyteller, the year's voice, and the year's innovator, as well as Lukas Bonnier's Grand Journalism Prize – which is awarded to a journalist who has "demonstrated skill and outstanding journalistic achievement over many years."
The prize amount is 100,000 kronor in each category.
