The fans demanded the resignation of the "Blåvitt" top executives.

New point loss in the Allsvenskan relegation battle. Then the supporters demanded the "Blåvitt" top management's resignation. It's nothing I'm thinking about, says club director Håkan Mild.

It was at the end of the Allsvenskan match between IFK Göteborg and Kalmar FF that the home supporters unfolded a large banner with the text: "Time is up – Leave Håkan, Leave Rickard".

The message was directed at club director Håkan Mild and chairman Rickard Berkling.

I'm responsible and we haven't got the results that we or the fans want, so it's not entirely unthinkable that it happens, says Mild.

What do you think about the supporters' demands?

It's not my job to decide whether I should stay or not. It's not something I'm thinking about right now.

Criticizes banner

After "Blåvitt" last year secured the Allsvenskan contract in the absolute last minute, the club is once again in a precarious situation after the points loss against Kalmar FF (1–1). The threat of direct relegation has been averted, but four points separate them from IFK Värnamo on the qualifying spot – Värnamo has two matches left to play.

You don't want to be there again. But I have to say that during the last ten matches, there has been a will and an ambition, even if we don't get the results. We have it in our own hands, so you can't feel sorry for yourself. It's just a matter of going for it, says Mild.

None of IFK Göteborg's players wanted to comment on the demands for resignation after the match. The club's technical director Ola Larsson, on the other hand, says he gets annoyed.

That makes me irritated. Neither Håkan nor Rickard is solely responsible. I have a part in this, the coaches have a part in this, the players have a part in this, says Larsson.

"Just go for it"

At the same time, Larsson says he understands the supporters' frustration given the table situation.

The results have been bad, everyone can see that. It's not just this year, it's been like that for ten years. Of course, there's frustration, I understand that, says Ola Larsson.

IFK Göteborg now faces Mjällby in the final round next weekend. How anxious it becomes will be decided, among other things, by Värnamo's match against BP on Sunday.

Everyone is on the pitch and everyone is ready to do whatever it takes. We can't do anything but just go for it, says August Erlingmark.
