It's Kim Kardashian's biggest dramatic role in her career that has critics sharpening their knives.
"'All's Fair' is so bad it feels like a disrespect to viewers," writes Lucy Mangan in The Guardian, adding that the series also contains the worst kissing scene ever filmed. The rating is 0 out of 5 stars.
The series, which premiered on Disney+ in Sweden on November 4, is created by TV soap opera king Ryan Murphy. In addition to Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, Naomi Watts and Sarah Paulson are also the big names in the cast of the series, which revolves around some divorce lawyers and their dramatic cases.
The Hollywood Reporter's Angie Han thinks Kim Kardashian is perfect for the role – but that's not a compliment.
"Her portrayal of the character is stiff, expressionless without any authenticity whatsoever, exactly what the script, which is stiff, expressionless and without any authenticity whatsoever, deserves," she writes.
In The Telegraph, critic Ed Power describes "All's Fair" as "a crime against television", while Alison Herman writes in Variety that a large part of the problem is that men have written the script and directed a drama that purports to be about female liberation.
