On Tuesday, visitors to the Beatles' official website were greeted with the cryptic message "good things come to those who wait."
Speculation quickly began that it could be a re-release of the 1965 album "Rubber Soul." It turned out to be true.
A newly mixed version of the album will be released on October 2. Giles Martin, son of Beatles producer George Martin, did the work together with Sam Okell - something the duo has done before for other Beatles albums. “Rubber Soul” is expanded with previously unreleased material and the contemporary singles “Day Tripper” and “We Can Work It Out”.
The Beatles have in recent years released several reissues of their most iconic albums, including "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", "Abbey Road" and "Let it Be".
As recently as 2023, "Now and Then" was released, originally recorded on a cassette by John Lennon and partially recreated sonically with the help of AI.
